quality Manager, Disability and Leave Services (DLS) will be a key contributor to the development and ongoing execution of our quality Management System (QMS). The successful candidate in this role is passionate about quality, continuous improvement, customer experience, leadership, development, and committed to creating a best in class quality program. She/ he will possess excellent customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal. quality Manager will lead a team of quality Auditors that are internationally located to deliver regular metrics and analysis of the overall health of the DLS program across various leave of absence, accommodation, and other service related events that occur during the lifecycle of an employees case. S/he will be an inspiring people manager, adept at quickly growing the organization.

The DLS quality Manager will partner and coordinate with stakeholders internal and external to DLS, across geographic boundaries and at varying levels of the organization. This role will require demonstrated proficiency in the identification of gaps in standard work for resolution and expert knowledge of the Leave and Accommodation program to lead and influence adoption within Amazon. The quality Manager will have ability to influence stakeholders at varying levels, and possess excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively convey complex information.

The quality Manager will be a fast, clear and independent thinker who is naturally curious about how things work, understands importance of quality in any process, is metrics and data savvy, has an analytical mindset and has demonstrated leadership ability. S/he should show success in following-up and getting things done and have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-centric and ever changing environment. This position may require up to 30% travel, including some international travel.
Key areas of responsibility:
Maintain subject matter expertise (SME) in the Leave and Accommodation program materials and tools, including policies, plans, processes, standard work, systems, training and education materials, and practices.
Introduce new systems and procedures that drive defect identification and reduction by partnering with internal team and business groups to adopt improvements.
Manage and develop a high performing team of quality Auditors that meets agreed objectives and enables continuous improvements.
Verify quality metrics in place and triggers containment actions and corrective actions as necessary.
Create and present quality reports and dashboards to DLS leadership.
Continually evaluate solutions not only for quality and business impact, but scalability.
Communicate across all levels on operations and program progress.
Dive deep in the details, as well as identify big-picture trends and recommendations based on the data.

Basic Qualifications :
Bachelors degree in Finance, HR, IT or a related field
Four years experience in any of the following quality related fields; auditing, ACES, Six Sigma, Lean, quality assurance, risk management or process improvement
Three years leading a team of direct and indirect reports
Experience in quality audits, including demonstrated experience of creating and performing audits and outcome reports
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skill with a focus on Excel, Access and SharePoint

Preferred Qualifications :
Advanced degree in Finance, HR, IT or a related field
Experience with leave of absence or disability quality assurance
Solid track record for delivery of high quality products
Proven experience leading cross-functional projects and managing company-wide programs
ASQ Certifications
In depth knowledge of federal or state leave and disability regulations, specifically ADA/ADAAA and FMLA
Six Sigma Green Belt or Lean Certification
